GOOD THINGS ABOUT COUNTING CALORIES:
According to the British Nutrition Foundation,"To lose weight, the energy intake from food must be less than the energy output." Counting is one of the most effecting weight loss methods. It goes straight to the heart of the problem. Losing weight through counting calories is pretty simple. And plus, counting calories will add to your awareness of what your body needs; Counting Caloriees will educate you what's in your food, and how to be more healthy.
DOWNSIDES OF COUNTING CALORIES:
Counting Calories is usually affective but not permanent and is sometimes used innappropriately. Not all calories are equal and some you do need to survive. Some people even believe counting calories can lead to addiction . Addicted to counting calories, being thin, anorexic, or bulimic. And that's NOT a good way to use calorie counting and is extremely inapropriate.

Lately, I've kinda had trouble with this because I have so much other stuff to do for Creative Writing and my other classes. SOmething's wrong with my Google Alerts so once I get that working , I plan on getting my research in. I will have more on my project next week.

Stage 1 : Picking My Topic
My topic for the Cast Your Bucket Down Project is "Counting Calories". I chose this topic because it reeaally hit home for me. In a funny way, it reminded me of my mother and how for the last 2 years she's been saying she's going to lose weight (which she still hasn't done) and decided for a brief time she would count calories... It actually didnt help her at all, which surprised me, but i learned the less you eat doesn't necessarily mean gauranteed weight loss. I thought that was especially interesting. Then a month ago, my best friend was ALSO trying to lose weight and asked me, "What would happen if I only ate a 100 calories a day for a week?" I thought about it and realized Google was in suggestion. I looked it up and was utterly shocked when I read that within a few days, you would literaly Die. I researched into the topic a little more and realized anorexia also tied into the whole Counting Calories topic. (I guess it has something to do with over-analyzing what you should eat and how many calories you should have per day.) Well cant wait to inform you on more about my topic...!
